Services
In our worship services we value intimate worship, two-way prayer and the authority of the Bible.
No matter what style of music or liturgy we use, we want to create spaces where we can connect with God our heavenly father and become more aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit filling us. We want to pray and intercede for the world, the church and ourselves, and we also want to make space to listen to what God is saying to us. We want to engage with teaching that helps us to apply the authority of the Bible to our lives so that we can be transformed to live more like Jesus.
Sunday 9.15am morning worship
This takes place at The Church Centre on Quakers Road. This is a traditional, liturgical service lasting around 50 minutes. Music includes classic and modern hymns. On the 1st and 3rd Sundays we have Morning Worship and on the 2nd and 4th Sundays Holy Communion. Once a term we have a Communion and Breakfast service with the young people.
Sunday 10.30am morning worship
The 10.30am takes place at Christ Church Parish Church and is a fun, informal service lasting just over an hour. Music includes classic and contemporary songs led by our fantastic bands. We worship all together for the first 15 minutes before children and young people go to age specific groups.
Thursday 9.30am Holy Communion
Affectionately known as ‘the 9.30,’ it’s a welcoming, liturgical service that lasts about an hour. A thriving congregation meet each week around word and sacrament, in a relaxed yet slightly more traditional environment. This is usually a said service with hymns on the third Thursday of the month.
6.30pm Celtic service
Takes place on the third Sunday of the month at Christ Church Parish Church. This is a liturgical reflective act of worship based on the Celtic tradition. Worship is led by a small folk band.
Each week you can watch the 10.30am morning worship live or catchup later on our Youtube channel.
