Chaplaincy to older people

Revd Ann Louise Critchlow
Revd Anne-Louise Critchlow

At Christ Church we believe in the intrinsic value and worth of each and every person, because we are all made in the image of God. We are fortunate that we are able to offer a Chaplaincy to older members of the church and wider community. Revd Anne-Louise Critchlow is the Anna Chaplain at Christ Church.

The main role of the Anna Chaplain is to:

  • Offer spiritual support to older people who are living in care homes and sheltered housing complexes, their relatives and the staff who look after them.
  • Promote the spiritual welfare of older people in the wider community,
particularly those facing challenges living independently.

Revd Anne-Louise is involved in visiting a number of the residential homes in our parish (Avonmere; Cleve Court: Gwendoline House; Riversway; Woodlands Court; Hillside Court) as well as a number of older people living independently in the parish, where she makes pastoral visits, takes communion services and supports the wider family.

If you would like to contact Anne-Louise to ask her to visit a relative in the Christ Church parish please contact the Parish Office.
