Learning to Live the Life

Giving

The giving of our money is the most tangible evidence of our commitment.

If we think of ourselves as a member of Christ Church, we will consider it a responsibility and a joy to contribute financially to our shared mission and ministry. So, we ask all our members to commit to regular, planned, faithful and generous giving to Christ Church.

As a church most of our income comes from the generous donations of our church family, and all of this money goes straight back into funding the mission and ministry of the church, both here in Downend and across the globe as we support other mission organisations.

There are a range of ways to give but the best way to give is regularly, putting aside a set amount each week or month. This quickly adds up and helps us to plan for the future.

Regular giving

Our preferred means of giving is through the Parish Giving Scheme, which enables you to give directly from your bank account by direct debit on a monthly or quarterly basis. 100% of your donation comes back to the parish and the scheme enables us to claim gift aid efficiently. It’s very simple to join the scheme. Click on the button below. You will need our parish code which is: 050605085.

This can be done in a number of ways:

  • Via bank transfer – our bank details are as follows:
